For non-KMG applicants, we advise that you have a minimum of 4 years training and instructorship in a striking art when you apply to our program. You may try to apply with less than this, but we ask that you show us your striking abilities, coordination, and movement skills when you do the video or in-person assessment.

Because Krav Maga is heavy on striking techniques and high on coordination abilities, we advise that people have a strong striking background and good coordinations skills when they apply for the course. We do assessments and ask extensive questions in the application form because we need to have a good idea of who you are. As an organization, we are looking for people whose values, culture and goals align with ours. We are also very supportive of our certified instructors and affiliates, so we are also looking for people who we can work with long-term, who can contribute to the organization, and who can show us a genuine desire to be good instructors.

Applicants from other Krav Maga organizations should first submit the requirements as stated above, and go through normal assessment. Depending on your proficiency, KMG will inform you if you qualify for the conversion course.
